Dublin Core
Title
COVID-19 Billboard in North Omaha
Description
Photograph of a billboard at 30th and Ames Streets in North Omaha with a "Special Message from Senator Ernest Chambers" urging residents to "Protect Yourself & Others" and "wear a mask, wash hands, keep physical distance." It also told residents how to order masks and yard signs, gave the CDC's COVID-19 website, and included the terms "Urgent" and "Alert" in the top corners of the billboard.
Senator Ernie Chambers represented North Omaha's 11th District in the Nebraska State Legislature at the time this photograph was taken by Amy Schindler in the summer of 2020. North Omaha was hit harder by the pandemic, along with South Omaha, than the rest of the metro area.
